Successful Kick-off meeting in Tuzi, Montenegro.

On the 28th and 29th of March 2024, the Municipality of Tuzi, as the lead partner, proudly hosted the kick-off meeting for the ProLIGHTmed project. This significant event, held at the Assembly Hall in Tuzi, marked the beginning of a collaborative journey towards improving public lighting and energy efficiency across multiple regions.

The meeting brought together all project partners. Representatives from each partner organization presented their roles in the project and shared their experiences and expectations from EU projects.

The ProLIGHTmed project unites the following 8 partners, from different Euro-MED regions:

  • Municipality of Tuzi, Montenegro;
  • Energy and Environment Agency of Arrábida – ENA, Portugal;
  • Union of Bulgarian Black Sea Local Authorithies, Bulgaria,
  • Municipality of Lezhe, Albania;
  • Municipality of Pegeia, Cyprus;
  • City of Kaštela, Croatia;
  • National Energy Technological Cluster – DiTNE, Italy;
  • Renewable and Sustainable Energy Lab – Technical University of Crete, Greece.

During the first day, all project partners had the opportunity to initiate the ProLIGHTmed project in the presence of the Joint Technical Officer, Judith Cazas.

The event provided a moment for partners to share ideas related to the optimization and facilitation of energy efficiency.  Additionally, they exchanged experiences and best practices which will be beneficial for the project’s implementation.

On the second day, the analysis of the ProLIGHTmed structure was thoroughly addressed. The tasks that each partner is required to perform for the proper realization of the project were clearly outlined as well.

Convivial moments completed these two days of work. These moments facilitated interaction among the participants, setting the stage for a collaborative and productive journey towards a common challenge.

We look forward to the positive impact that ProLIGHTmed will bring across the Euro-MED regions.
