Partners

The Municipality of Tuzi, from Montenegro, is the Lead Partner of the ProLIGHTmed project. It is committed to sustainable urban development, leading initiatives to enhance energy efficiency in public buildings and lighting. With experience in EU-funded projects, Tuzi brings valuable project management and implementation skills to ProLIGHTmed.

The Energy and Environment Agency of Arrábida – ENA, from Portugal, specializes in promoting energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. By levariging its expertise in public lighting GIS registration and energy transition, ENA plays a crucial role in developing and testing innovative solutions.

The Union of Bulgarian Black Sea Local Authorities, from Bulgaria, coordinates efforts across 21 municipalities to improve local governance and energy efficiency. Their extensive network and regional knowledge are vital for implementing ProLIGHTmed’s strategies.

The Municipality of Lezhë, from Albania, focuses on enhancing municipal services and promoting sustainable tourism offer. Their experience in project design and management, combined with a strong commitment to energy efficiency, makes them a key partner in ProLIGHTmed.

The Municipality of Pegeia, from Cyprus, prioritizes energy efficiency and sustainable development. With successful experience in EU projects and a strategic focus on public lighting improvements, Pegeia contributes essential insights and practical solutions to the partnership.

The City of Kaštela, from Croatia, is dedicated to modernizing public infrastructure and promoting energy-efficient practices. Their comprehensive administrative structure and project management experience ensure effective implementation of ProLIGHTmed’s actions and goals achievements.

The National Energy Technological Cluster – DiTNE, from Italy, fosters collaboration between research and industry in the energy sector. DiTNE’s technical expertise and innovation drive the development of advanced energy efficiency solutions within the project. 

The Technical University of Crete, with its Renewable and Sustainable Energy Systems Lab, from Greece, leads research on clean energy and sustainability. Their extensive experience in EU projects and technological innovation supports the technical backbone of ProLIGHTmed.

The ProLIGHTmed project aims to promote climate change mitigation by optimizing and facilitating public lighting energy efficiency solutions across the Euro-MED area, using a cross-border approach to develop strategies, financing methodologies, and upscaled solutions for reducing CO2 emissions.

The ProLIGHTmed project, led by the Municipality of Tuzi, focuses on promoting climate change mitigation through the optimization and facilitation of public lighting energy efficiency solutions in the Euro-MED region. This initiative involves a step-by-step methodological approach, providing access to tools and resources for efficient local energy plan implementation. The project aims to produce four main outputs: a joint strategy for improving energy efficiency and reducing CO2 emissions, a joint action plan and methodology for financing public lighting optimization projects, an upscaled solution with final recommendations based on testing activities, and a cross-border knowledge transfer campaign targeting public lighting energy efficiency and CO2 reduction. These efforts will involve collaboration among project partners, associated partners, and various national and local stakeholders.
