4th Project Meeting and Study Visit in Brindisi

On June 18 and 19, 2025, the city of Brindisi hosted the 4th project meeting of the ProLIGHTmed project, organized by project partner DiTNE.

The meeting, which took place at Palazzo Guerrieri, home to Brindisi’s Urban Hub, and gathered all project partners from across the Euro-mediterranean area, opened with institutional greetings by Brindisi Mayor, Giuseppe Marchionna, and provided a valuable opportunity to assess the project’s progress and coordinate next steps.

During the first day, partners shared the results achieved so far in optimizing public lighting systems and testing innovative solutions in their local areas. Technical discussions were held alongside sessions on project management, administrative coordination, and communication activities. The day concluded with a networking dinner in Brindisi’s historic city center to join a summer night all together.

On the second day, a study visit was held at the Franco Fanuzzi Municipal Stadium, identified as a best practice in energy-efficient public lighting. The visits was led by City Green Light Srl, the company responsible for the intervention, with contributions from Architech Fabio Lacinio, Head of Public Works for the Municipality of Brindisi. Attendees were able to explore the technologies adopted and learn about the integrated management model aimed at reducing energy consumption and enhancing environmental sustainability.

The event in Brindisi was a key milestone of the project. Now partners are looking for meeting again in Lezhe, Albania!
