The picturesque city of Kastela, Croatia, hosted the third Project Meeting of the ProLIGHTmed project on December 2-3, 2024. This highly anticipated event, organized by the City of Kaštela, brought together project partners from across the Euro-MED region to review progress, share insights, and plan for the next steps in optimizing public lighting systems for greater energy efficiency and sustainability.
Day 1: Strategic discussions and collaboration
The first day of the meeting, held at Villa Nika, focused on presentations and strategic discussions. The day began with opening remarks by the City of Kaštela, followed by a welcome speech from the Lead Partner, the Municipality of Tuzi.
The core of the day was dedicated to Work Package 1, where partners presented their achievements in improving energy efficiency in public lighting systems during the first two project periods. These sessions highlighted significant milestones, including innovative approaches and deliverables that pave the way for more sustainable urban environments. Planning for upcoming activities in the second and third periods was also a key agenda item. After a coffee break, the discussions continued with Work Package 2, which focused on the implementation of pilot activities.
